Description
I'd barely had any decent images of Blattahali (cockroach) Vera in her freshly molted stage, and since I plan on commissioning several artists to draw her down the road, I figured I'd paint a somewhat realistic example of her squishy, fresh exoskeleton. In case you didn't know, cockroaches are, as many insects, white after they shed their skin. It's only temporary, lasting maybe a couple hours. As their exoskeleton hardens, it slowly darkens to its original (or a new) color. I will be posting some photo examples of this to my photography folder soon, along with educational information on roaches. *edit* here are 3 so far, will be posting more later! -

Her segments and such don't have to be exact, obviously, this is just a general idea. I try to draw her as close to a cockroach as possible while retaining human and feline characteristics, which is not easy xD
